Asset Lifecycle Management Glossary

Hard Drives - means hard disk drive, solid state drive or fixed disk drive storage devices.

IT Asset - means the Customer’s computer hardware and electronic equipment processed by IM in connection with this SOW including, without limitation, data centre equipment, personal computers, monitors, laptops, Hard Drives, Media, printers, facsimile machines, and other computer equipment and computer related peripherals.

Media - plastic data storage devices such as magnetic media tapes, compact, floppy and/or digital video disks, magnetic cartridges, VHS & cassette tapes.

Offsite - means the Iron Mountain facility where IT Assets are transported to and processed.

Onsite - means the Customer site where services are performed by Iron Mountain.

Scan - the capturing of the manufacturer serial number (or Customer asset tag if directed by Customer) by Iron Mountain via handheld scanner either Onsite or Offsite and depending on the service option selected by the Customer. Iron Mountain can capture only one serial number or asset tag per IT Asset. If a barcode, serial number or asset tag on any IT Assets are removed, ripped, torn or otherwise unscannable, such IT Assets cannot be itemised and only quantities or weight will be provided.

SLA - Service Level Agreement.

Hazardous / Non-Contracted Materials - Customers shall not utilise Iron Mountain to dispose of any material considered toxic, dangerous, bio-hazardous or regulated under any federal or state law. Should any such materials be found housed inside any box or pallet during the performance of services by Iron Mountain, Iron Mountain reserves the right to (a) terminate this SOW in whole or in part; and/or (b) invoice the Customer for the Contaminates Fee (Non Bio/Hazardous or Bio/Hazardous).

EBR - Environmental Benefits Report.

Box Program - The Remote Box Program enables IT assets at a customer’s remote locations to be shipped to Iron Mountain for ITAD processing or shipped to a customer determined location. The remote locations are provided a specific box per asset type and a preprinted shipping label, to facilitate the shipping of assets.

Fair Market Value (FMV) - the estimated resale price of an IT asset on the secondary market under current market conditions at the time of estimate based on the asset's brand, model, age and condition.
